This dinosaur-themed sign was created back in November for the Tilley Time Child Development Center in Taylorsville, UT.
I just finished the above mural, which was designed by the students of my Mural Making class at YouthCity (Salt Lake City, UT) under my instruction, and painted by them with a little help from myself.
This past Saturday, December 10th was the opening of the new permanent “Fire Station” exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Utah, designed and created by myself (of course, with the guidance and assistance of the Children’s Museum staff and others).

Whiting spent the past month, mostly Saturdays and evenings, painting a mural inside the Imagine Children’s Museum parking garage. The 26-year-old, who has a bachelor’s degree in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, approached the museum and volunteered his talent, equipment, and time….
The Seattle Children’s Museum contacted me to direct a volunteer project to paint their party room. This is the result of our efforts in one fun day!
